gold is an ancient metal. it shouldn’t have any monetary place in the age of ai and whatnot. imo, they might keep it around for a few more decades though even that feels like a stretch, considering we now have the hardest money ever invented.
Idk... It seems like chip foundries are too few to be building power structures on anything dependent on chips. Bitcoin may be the hardest money invented or inventable, but power protects power. When bitcoin becomes the only money, if chips are still hard to make, then chip foundries are obvious targets. One missile and an enemy could knock out your ability to mine or build anything on top of bitcoin. Its not stable, not yet. Make chips trivial to print up by anyone, then power will speak bitcoin.
