China is becoming the main scientific superpower. Beijing has scored 33,700 points in the Mature Index, one of the main indicators of scientific development in different countries, which is based on the number of scientific papers and articles. 
Discussion
Thats a very complex measure. Ive read some great papers that were only good as they summarised and unified many previous bits of research into a cohesive theory on a subject. How much research is truly new?
