You need to paste you nsec in the configuration of your extension to able to sign events, login etc to clients. email and pass is for accessing alby websites including nwc.

Probably alby once again shiting the bed it happens worse it happens on new alby extension installs, you can try use nos2x-fox or nostr-connect to use your nsec there, unless you really need alby.
