Every social media platform I’ve been part of has had its plateau of signal to noise: digg, Reddit, slashdot, hacker news, Twitter, etc.. all “died” for me from a mixture of the same fatal ingredients: popularity, corporatocracy and closed source inflexibility. Nostr can truly fix all of these.

I fully expect the open relay model to “die” once Nostr gets more popular but I’m super bullish on the flexibility the platform provides to create paid curated type experiences that improve signal to noise.
