So i run most everything over mobile. Having done many of these steps the phenomena of talking about (topic/hobby) or searching no longer results in targeted ads. Its a bit of learning new habits and breaking old ones but worth it.

I have never gotten targeted ads because when a company does bad things, I delete my account with them and uninstall all apps associated with them.... since the 90s.
This leaves me with open source freedom software.
And I've run the AdBlock Plus browser extension since 2000-ish. Back then it was just called AdBlock.
In the grand scheme i can honestly say i'm new to the privacy game. Working on housekeeping on my end but a year and a half cutting cord with apple and learning linux has been a fun journey.
