Interesting, I checked global for the first time in ages after someone else mentioned it and did notice a fair bit of porn (though not a ridiculous amount). Gotta wonder, do these people not know that you can google big boob and get 1 billion results?

I'm not sure that it's gay per se, as much as people seeking others who share their extremely abnormal kinks so that they can convince themselves that it's totally normal to like feet or armpits or some other ridiculous thing.
It's so nice and refreshing to see that much porn. That's what freedom looks like. If there was no regulations on normal social media, it would be the exact same.
Not sure what you mean. There is an incredible amount of porn on twitter. Just do a search for almost any non porn term and you'll find it.
Probably the only place you wont find porn is gab.
For me the issue on nostr isn't the porn itself but that we don't have universal nsfw filters etc so that porn is marked in case you're somewhere that viewing it could get you in trouble or so that you can remove it from your TL easily. I don't want people wanting to remove the bridge because of it (especially since there is some porn directly on nostr)
Well nsfw filters can be implemented in either cache servers that feed you some kind of list (like some algo-relays) or client based.
It's going to be available at some point I'm sure.
It already exists in some clients but a huge % of people will get their first exposure through iris which i'm using right now since you can get a free nip05 here. The vast majority of people don't want porn in their feed (even if they like porn) and so if they see it here, particularly in large quanities we probably lose that user immediately. I mentioned twitter before, but it's algorithm means that unless you search for things, if you just keep pulling follows from whats hot, you probably won't see much, if any porn.
