In the next 100 years we will not see a self-aware AGI.

I believe in the Orch-OR hypothesis which states that consciousness is a quantum process and therefore we can only obtain self-aware AGI through quantum computing and current quantum computing is far from what it claims to be.

i think that our meatsacks barely make real consciousness.

only psychotic nutters with god complexes could think that it would be a good idea anyway.

their motivation is basically pure autism - they wish the whole universe obeyed them. they want the AI to replace us so they can have their lusts satisfied without the inconvenience of paying the cost.
