Sure! I was thinking of checking if we could do it for the background chainstate while it catches up to the assumeutxo block height. Isn't there a ~4 minute lock up at the moment once it has caught up with the assumed block height to re-calculate the hash?
Afaik assumeutxo doesn't use muhash, https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues/27669 ?

Yes, but this might be a reason to change that?
Would have been fine/sensible to change it beforehand too though. Muhash calcs were already fast, though being even faster is better of course.
