This misguided soul of mine continues to believe that it is very spiritually advanced and certainly on the threshold of sainthood. Such fatal delusions are to be expected when the spiritual life is practiced in isolation and repentance is entirely neglected. The self who practices the spiritual life in isolation is not aware of his other selves.
