I want to reference to future blocktime, in stead of calendar dates, but my mind needs a tool to change to this new paradigm of time referencing.

Is there a calendar (app?) that extrapolates #Bitcoin block height to specific dates in the future, or do I have to ask nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft to make one for us?

I can calculate by going 144 blocks per day, but I don't always feel like doing the arithmetic.

~1000 blocks = 1 week

So 4000-ish for a month

52000-ish a year

It’s more about what accuracy you actually want.

If I was talking to someone and wanted to describe a week, I would say about 1000. A day is about 150. A year is about 50K. Everything is going to be “about” the same. If you need more precision, I would use the actual time.

I’ll try to make an app. What kind of phone?

I'm using iPhone. Did you see this:

Yes, and you just need to know the estimated block height for a future time & date, right?

This does exactly what I asked for, it gives a rough estimate of block height as a given date. Pretty sweet

This is it, awesome thanks

I've looked at it before, I love it. But I missed that it does estimations of future dates too. So cool.

🙏🧡 glad you like it! Stay tuned for a big update in the next few days!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep a look out

block heights work better for past time - UTC for future time

Yes of course. It's more of a quirky thing for me to reference to future blocks in stead of future dates. For example New Year's Eve is likely to be around block 823,132
