Glass?

Idk what you’re asking

Is it free of microplastics because it comes in glass?

Oh no, well i’m sure that’s a part of it too but i think it’s more the source. Our oceans are littered with photodegrading plastic bags and bottles etc (resulting in microplastics), so evaporating that for the salt also leaves you with that. Not sure if there’s even any way to attempt to remove it.

The one i’m getting from onlysalt.co allegedly comes from the peruvian andes where that’s not an issue.

All of this is backed up by third party testing (allegedly)

But himalayan pink salt is also supposed to be “cleaner” since it is mined from places that were in the sea at a time that preceded plastic production. I just got annoyed only finding that in plastic packaging or plastic grinders, and went down a slight rabbit hole
