If this is allowed to pass by, it literally sets a precedent which allows all future Presidents (including the shitcoining orange man) to preemptively pardon everyone around them. It makes them all untouchable.

It's carte blanche for corrupt politicians to do whatever they want, and the end of the pretense of rule of law.
