After two years rising inflation rates all over the world it seems impossible to me that anyone could still ask the question "why do we need bitcoin at all?".

But yeah, that's where it has to start. I guess it is at least easier to answer that question now than it was two years ago.

But they saw Bitcoin’s value in dollars drop by almost 80%. You also need to counter that

Thanks for sharing!

One thing I found interesting about that was that you didn't mention the Bitcoin halving reward cycle. Was that deliberate - do you think it muddies the argument?

The maths there is brutal - either Bitcoin continues to grow in significance / utility, or its energy use can't possibly be an issue in future.
