I’m heading to Mining Disrupt in about a week and went to book a hotel last night.

I called the number I found on Google’s search results. The operator sounded too good. I asked, “Are you a virtual AI assistant?”

❗“Yes.”

Not only that—they had fake background noise of a lobby and clicks of keyboards as he was typing the inquiries, making it sound like a real receptionist.

We’ve entered a world where AI isn’t just assisting—it’s impersonating.

How long before we can’t tell the difference #nostr?
