These options would be useful:

1. Mute thread

2. Mute forks from the thread while the direct responses to the initial note are shown.

And, taking this a step further:

How about a notifcation tab that shows this:

⏹️ Note 3 --- [x new responses]

⏹️ Note 2 --- [y new responses]

⏹️ Note 1 --- [z new responses]

Then you can click on each note subject:

⏹️ Note 3 --- Visibility Options

[Full thread] - [New responses] - [Likes]

[Mute thread] - [Mute thread forks]
