Might tank price tho.

Why would it tank the price?

If an ETF share is destroyed now, BTC gets sold to redeem in USD. With in-kind redemption that BTC doesn’t need to be sold.

Am I missing something?

So it's live now?

No. It’s just a proposal… an application.

Thanks. The tftc wording was confusing.

Yes, this is huge!

How is it a big deal?

Because it allows sovereignty?

Or for another reason?

Can withdraw bitcoin rather than cash and avoid creating a tax event.

Didn't know about the tax event. Seems weird though, why wouldn't it trigger one?

Because only cash can be redeemed and not bitcoin.

This would pretty big

Yes, very.

That's wild, not 100% paper bitcoin then

Wow! That’s unexpected. Maybe Larry Fink is truly orange pilled.

All investors, or just qualified institutions?

I heard because there is less sell pressure. But what I don't understand is why any of us using cold storage would send it to black rock. They'd have to pay me a lot to send it to them, and even then, I probably wouldn't. Not worth the risk of them never giving my BTC back.

Some would even say a yuge deal.

Hopefully Fidelity follows suite.
