Anyone tried the new Phoenix beta yet? Keen to hear how the splicing UX is and what the real world fees look like.

Yep, been running it for a few weeks now.

It's great, been flawlessly DCA-ing in from Pocket via LN, splicing-in as I go.

Mad some chunky LN payments to, and some on-chain splice-outs.

LN fees a little high. Anything over £100 is cheaper on-chain at the mo.

Fees around 1750 sats per splice atm. Free if you have the inbound obv.

0.4% for outbound LN.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but are you saying that payments greater than £100 via LN are dearer in Phoenix even if you already have a channel of the appropriate size?

Flat fee of 0.4% for outbound LN.

Inbound LN free, assuming you have the liquidity. If not then a splice-in triggered with just on-chain fees.

I'm using it, it's still not perfect but it works fine, I miss them here in nostr. Looking forward to the next version of nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5
