Though I just read this: “When thorium is transformed into uranium-233, it becomes directly usable in nuclear weapons.” So I guess there goes that argument, at least in the present.

Hmm if I remember rightly, the main benefit of thorium is simply lack of potential melt down
The fact that it’s escapes regulations under the international non proliferation treaty, and china is full steam developing around it , tells you everything you need to know about how useful or practical it is for Nuclear weapons
