Though I just read this: “When thorium is transformed into uranium-233, it becomes directly usable in nuclear weapons.” So I guess there goes that argument, at least in the present.

Hmm if I remember rightly, the main benefit of thorium is simply lack of potential melt down

Remembering what I’ve read in the past, yes a safer way of doing nuclear power. Therefore a great source of clean energy. If only more investment in research was done long ago.
