Interplanetary Bitcoin key distribution:

Challenging? Yes

Overkill? Probably

Costly? Very

Long term time preference? Yes

Legendary status? Most definitely

Regardless, could form a cool subplot of a Bitcoin sci-fi

Block time is an issue. It’s been discussed a lot.

By who? I'm the only person I know of who wants to slow block time to a few hours.

You can’t have interplanetary mining with a block time of 10 minutes. The choice of ten minutes centralizes mining to within just a a light minute or two of the majority of hash power. As no planet is that close, 100% of mined blocks occur close to earth…until extraterrestrial hash power overtakes earth’s and completely replaces it, if such extraterrestrial hash power can be accumulated. But at 51%, earth gets 100% of the blocks.

Yeah. Glad you get it. There's two of us now

This is not a post about mining, it's a post about the geographic distribution of keys to access a Bitcoin wallet - very different
