So I wired a line of 240V to heat my garage. I will post the steps I took in the comments to this post. But I just want to say, “you can just do things” and “I am a Heatpunk!”
Step 7: I ran a line of cat5e from my switch (in my utility room on the backside of this wall) to my outlet location. I terminated the garage side with a cat5e keystone in a surface mount because it was easier than cutting another outlet but nicer looking than just having a loose cable running through. Then I terminated the end at the switch with an RJ45 connector.
