I think anyone on poast would have supported 1945 republic of china over the PRC. the problem is that the PRC became more based while Taiwan became more gay over the last 75 years.

That's definitely a problem.
The tendency of authoritarian closed societies, even if they're Communist, to over time adopt policies and practices to pragmatically maintain the situation in-spite of their ideological priors explains the situation of China, North Korea and the USSR (to a lesser extent before it fell) being in many ways more based than the west for often times the wrong reason(s).
