The fact that communism can actually be voted for, it’s a freedom a democratic republic allows. People forget that in other countries, the people don’t have a say. At all. And even get killed.

Just a quick comment, not trying to be a jerk. But I see it miss spoken often. The US is a Constitutional Republic. We aren’t a democracy or a democratic republic. Big difference. All said genuinely.

It doesn’t change the point of your comment much. I still understand what you’re saying. And I agree.

I appreciate your approach in how you’re correcting me though. I don’t mind one bit when I’m being corrected. I have no plans to stop learning.

Great attitude to have. I try to keep learning, too. Growth mindset is the better way to go.

I think we’ve been conditioned by the media and politicians with alterer motives that say things like “we are democracy” or “democratic republic”. Rarely do I hear anyone correcting them either. So I feel obligated to say something when I do her it.

It’ll be very interesting to look back on history to see how it’s interpreted what is happening in NYC. I don’t know how this happens. Gradually then suddenly I suppose.

Thanks. And yes I stand corrected. I appreciate that.

It's communism lite at best when we do it here. Mamdani will be in and out most likely by the next election.

I really hope so. Like it’s all just an experiment.

I hope so too. Please make this experiment. Fast and quick and keep it in NYC. if that shit spreads I might have to move sooner than I would like.

Same. But I wouldn't want to live in NY no matter who's the governor. Cause it's historically a hub for socialists anyway, and will always be a welfare state and lean socialist.

Yeeeahhh. Too much “city” for me. I fled the city and don’t wish to return to it.

The whole country is full of socialism policies and even the so called right wants them
