I agree, but really love the freedom of not having a constraint, and the “expand” action. Gives people and the medium options without compromising the readability of the timeline.

Though, it might be helpful to be more consistent around when the expand button pops up, and not to do it on character but naturally sentence or word breaks. And to make it look less like a link in the note and more like a button. And to expand online (or if you open note, to open where you left off, not at bottom which currently happens in many clients).

All this is just design work ultimately and I’m happy some grants of sats are going towards design now!
