The reason for your followers is because your consistent and regular with your quality post. It was a more a message to mass memers who flood timelines with notes (where 1/30 notes will actually be good)

It is not true for a few reasons too. It also seems to suggest that any old engagement is good/will do, when some people want more meaningful engagement or topic-focused discussion and back and forth.
The user looking for topic-focused engagement/discussions isn't still not going to really find it, because there's hardly any subcultures/topics on nostr.
The same with these people finding topics. 'they should just follow more people' isn't going to help, because those conversations are just not here in abundance. Eg an angling enthusiast is probably not going to *just* want a load of likes and some GMs.
Again, with a lot of Nostr, it seems like a perspective of people have come from bitcointwitter and want bitcointwitter and are content with nostr as it is because it is (mostly) bitcointwitter2.

Yeah, I try to engage with people about all sorts of topics, but only a few catch on. Simply no market for the other stuff.

Be famous.
Be rich.
Be female.
Have friends who are famous, rich, and/or female, and boost your stuff.
Pay people directly.
Be one of the first people here.
Be unusually interesting or informative.
Some combination thereof.
The best is when dull women lecture men to "post more interesting, engaging content".

Same, but I've had to think through how to choose my client and configure my relays, and that is apparently beyond many people.
Clients are going to have to pre-chew a lot more, but avoid just showing everyone the same stuff or hard-coding everything.
Yes!!!! My Amethyst and primal are so different i don't even know what is the issue. The relay part is hard to understand. My long form content cannot be seen in primal by me in the article page, followers are not seen in primal.

I have the weirdest npub of all, as it's not that big, follower-wise, and it rarely gets quoted or boosted, it's not on any lists (except naughty lists), and it's been muted by lots of popular people, but it still regularly trends.
My content is much more popular than I am. I guess that makes me the opposite of whatever an influencer is. 😁
