yes, i have. i am actively testing it. it's not packed with features yet and no file storage, but proton moves/tests steady and slowly. since proton aquired simplelogin, i feel it will be integrated (can compose email from alias addresses).

i do however find android integration to be much better than bitwarden. i can't speak to 1Password as I stopped using it a decade ago and it is not open source.

that said, i submit it's not good opsec to have your vpn and passwords associated with your email (a form of online id). i recommend protonpass for normies (over 1Password for sure). it helps reduce copy pasting more than bitwarden in my experience.

Bitwarden (paid) and Keepass are still tops in my book.

Slow, they definitely are. :)

To your last question: it’s the best UX and utility by 10x; others aren’t even close. Yes, there’s risk in being close source, but I use it probably 100 times every day. The amount of time it’s saved me I wouldn’t begin to be able to measure.
