"Just World Hypothesis" taken to its maximum extent - "I'd like everyone to be wealthy, an artist and singing kumbaya", therefore it is how things are meant to be and any problems with my vision must be the deliberate work of a villain.
While I think every human is unique abs precious... We are, thankfully, much more limited in scope than that. Thinking too much of one's self is very possibly worse than thinking too little, at least from a societal viewpoint.
