That's awesome. Been thinking to take a year off and hit up Japan.
I highly recommend doing so!! I had the lucky opportunity to live there for 3 months with a host family and it was hands down the most enriching experience of my entire life. I don’t know if anything will ever top how special that journey was to me. It’s an amazing place with amazing people and amazing culture & history! If you do go, be sure to visit Osaka. 😊

Hell yeah, nice! I have not but I can make it public if you’re interested. It’s mainly curated for my interests, so
cultural & historical sites like castles, battlefields, samurai villages, etc.,
unique or iconic religious places like shrines, temples, burial grounds, etc.,
natural beauty like onsen, national parks, caves, gorges, forests, beaches, etc.,
some anime or film related locations like the staircase from Kimi no Na Wa, Haikyuu school & JAXA building in Uchuu Kyoudai, acidic lake from Dr. Stone, etc.,
Local cuisines for various cities and towns on the trip path like local nabe or sashimi, somen, gyuutanyaki, etc.,
The list goes on, and I haven’t even finished filling out the document. I have at least one thing to do in all prefectures across the country and most if not all of the areas within each prefecture.
