Imagine if we piped all the glacial melt water from Greenland to the US and we filled up the Great Basin in Wyoming to serve as a giant reservoir for the entire arid west. That would be pretty cool

There is no logical reality to that statement.
It’s an engineering problem. Not saying it would be easy or “practical” but it would be cool and there is logic in it
Oh yeah, that will work great. It will just flow downhill from the arctic heading south.
How big pipe are we talking here ? Diameter in feet or meter ..don't try mm or inches please :-)
