Fellow #atheist of nostr, do you celebrate on the 25th or the solstice? Why? My family is talking about switching because why let the christians pervert the holiday if we aren't christians.

I had a realization that the lighted up Christmas tree has its roots in solstice reversing darkness. Maybe 🤔

Evergreens predate Christian influence on the holiday because they were a way to capture the greenery of plants during the shortest days of the year.
