Random Thought: With Nostr, mathematically money and the underlying open source practices, we have the chance to reshape many aspects of the society as we know it. Despite being a considerably learned person, I have always hated schools. Diplomas is also á ridiculously proof of nothing. It’s pretty much a proof of blindness. Yet many processes in the fiat world need you to hold a degree from some selected schools. Especially for higher education, does the amount of resources we invest to it really pay off? Most kids out of undergrad or even PhD can’t do shit and definitely not a good scientist either. The amount of degree inflation is way too much. 2 years of taking outdated courses and a mini project make you master of nothing.

Many important open source project creators probably have done much better contribution to total humanity intelligence than 10 PhDs yet most of them are earning very little. Yes, PhDs are poor, but at least they have protections from the school. Most good open source developers are just on their own. No protections or support from any fiat institutions.

Learning and education are very different. We should all love learning. But I just hate education with my purest heart. Education is yielding to fiat power. It’s worse than fiat mining because you pay the school to constrain your freedom and you pay to get most useless information. Just to get the ridiculous degree so that you find a fiat job. Why not just join open source and learn directly from real shit when you are 14 when you basically learned how to read and write?

I went to a very privileged university in the states yet most of my useful understanding about computer science and programming has been learned outside of school work.

So much human potential is lost!!!

And I am angry!
