Hi frens!

How was your New Year’s Eve and the first day of the year? 🎉 I hope you indulged in delicious foods and cherished your own company, as well as that of your loved ones.

I created beautiful memories with my husband and our furry babies, and I’m grateful for that every single day. ❤️

Today, I’m back to routine—cleaning litter boxes, tidying up the house, and all the usual chores. 📝 ✅

💪🏻 But I still made time to paint!

I’m excited to share that I completed my last painting of 2024 and my first painting of 2025 today.

Let’s keep the creativity flowing, my frens! 🎨✨ #artstr #art #gouache #artist

Happy New Year! Glad to hear your year is starting off nicely.

I noticed in the image you have little Himi containers! I also have the Himi gouaches, how do you like them? Do you open up all the containers or just a few? I just started getting back into them 😅

Happy new year 🎊 I like them though the colors can be a bit opaque at times but it does depend on water and how many layers you use, I have the lid on them though they are open, how gouache going for you ? 🌞

Nice. I'm trying to get used to the opaque-ness too. I'm used to watercolors. I tried keeping the little peel back lid on them but found it doesn't really do much. But if I use them consistently it keeps it wet enough.

It is going pretty good, just need to get used to them 😅

Do you mainly work in gouache?

I used to work more often with watercolors but then made this switch hehe but now I’m just using the two together 🎨🩷

That sounds like what I'm going through haha. I do like my watercolors, but gouache is interesting!
