The thing is, evil mocks the good by copying, corrupting, and appropriating. So if bad occultists are using this symbol, they're just copying it, so there's no clear cut division between the good guys and the bad guys.

IMO things get corrupted more by power than by intention. Police badges and the Israeli flag appear to proclaim evil, but its the power over people that's evil, not the symbol.
