Probably true. What else could explain it? We're drowning in plastics.

Maybe all the abortions people so willingly choose. 🤮

Completely disagree. It's clearly the acceptance of polyamory, homosexuality, abortion, sexual proclivity, transgenderism, pornography, praise of the self over every (satanism) that has lead to staggering birth rates. No one wants kids. They'd rather enrich their own lives with material possessions and self love.

we went from 2.5 billion people to > 8billion people within the last 70 years compared to the past 2000 years rate of growth and the few million years BC. How is humanity shrinking ? If anything, its the opposite

Plastics didn't get introduced until around 1940's. It's true that population has exploded around 1950, but that could be due to a lot of other factors: better healthcare, better work conditions, reduced mortality rates, globalization, tech, awareness. Maybe bio-accumulation delay too? I don't know.

Most likely there are many different factors though, access to contraception, increased work load, women entering workforce, education, general preference not to have kids due to bleak outlook.

Microplastics has already been shown to decrease reproduction in animals so it's likely impacting humans too. In any case, prefer not to have it in my body ;(
