No kidding, and I think the company that operates them in my area doesn't allow bidirectional use. It's strictly a way to turn greenbacks into 70% of the BTC you could obtain on a reputable exchange.

Company is called Bitcoin Well. I have found some of their ATMs have asked me for no KYC. Some a phone number. This is in Canada at least.
