I’m in the city I went to university in for the first time since I graduated and it literally hasn’t changed at all. Sitting beside students at the same place we used to hang out all the time… feels strange…

Nostalgic?

Talk to them without making eye contact. Be reading a news paper. Don’t look up. “Ahhhh yes. I remember when I was in your shoes. Man. Shits different.”

Lol they’re all doing shots and I’m like, can I pls get a soup and soda water quickly so I can get to bed. How times have changed

It’s good soup

Try working for your alma mater for a decade. Being on campus every day and watching it change is also quite a trip.

You should tell them what their future looks like, you would know

Something about the future receding.. 😕

I felt the same way. It had to do with the friction between what I thought was the uniqueness of my felt experience vs. the commonality of it. Also, being in the practical world vs. being in a daze of theory and low quality beer.
