My opinion is that most Christians like to ignore much of what their sacred text teaches with no consequence for doing so from their god. The Old Testament is not tolerant of deviation from dogma at all, then Jesus came along and told everyone it’s all good, do whatever you want and ask forgiveness at some point. Zero accountability.
