It's the first day of #NutNovember ๐ฅ All month long we'll be using Cashu wallets to send and receive zaps, but most importantly, finding bugs and improving the overall ecosystem.
And remember to protect yourself from rugs! Only use mints that you trust, only keep small amounts on these mints, and peg out to Lightning often.

GM Derek, what wallets and clients would you suggest to zap with ๐ฅ ?
Which ones do you think need testing the most? Maybe some read you could point me to?

Iโm trying to set up nostr:npub1kvaln6tm0re4d99q9e4ma788wpvnw0jzkz595cljtfgwhldd75xsj9tkzv in nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 using NWC but it doesnโt seem to want to connect. It shows the relay is online, but it doesnโt display the balance, and outgoing zaps donโt seem to complete.
Second attempt, trying to use the NWC string from cashu.me in nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955, but still not able to retrieve the balance or send zaps.

I'm using NWC from cashu.me on Notedeck and with Amethyst.
I found out on Notedeck that it doesn't like multiple relays. The string from Cashu.me has multiple relays in it. Remove them all but 1 and it might work in Damus.
Truly bizarre. I checked the cashu.me string and it contains 3 relays:
relay.damus.io
relay.8333.space
nos.lol
Only two of them wanted to connect (damus and nos) but even when manually edited the string to remove all but one relay, it still never showed a balance.
Aborting this mission for now, if you have any other suggestions on how to get a cashu wallet to work with NWC in Damus, Iโm all ears, but so far Iโm 0 for 2.
Lemme fire up the ole tester iPhone. Give me some time to charge it.

It sounds like it's a technical issue to me, that Notedeck and perhaps Damus doesn't like multiple relays in the connection strings. That said, Daniel seems to have removed the extra relays. I got sidetracked with yardwork. Will look into it more later
