It's a game of playing God - if I were to convince you of my particular version of reality, you would need me in your life every time you needed answers. I'd be the highest authority in your mind while you forget about the Creator. You'd worship me, giving me power and influence over your life and decisions.
Modern cosmology is just a cult for atheists - all their heroes were God-hating, (pseudo-) intellectuals who insisted on a fake reality just so the next generations don't know how special they are.
