Whonix is very good too. As is Qubes. But it's much harder to introduce the less technically proficient to those. Tails is easier to teach.
Also any OS that relies on VMs for sandboxing requires more powerful hardware than an average consumer laptop whereas Tails can run on almost anything.
For sure though as with any security focused post I make I'll lay down the threat model it's designed to address and what potential threats it doesn't guard against and how the user can help guard against those threats themselves through correct usage.
