I've often become aware that I'm playing a role in someone else's "show". This awareness is interesting in that it gives me the choice whether to continue playing that role or exit their "show". I can't actually exit their show completely since I've already made an appearance but I can choose to play a less significant role.

I think of this phenomena as deciding whether to be a good mirror for them or not. To be a good mirror, sometimes I feel like I need to play a cunt. I don't enjoy this role but I sometimes feel it's what's needed.

This is most clear to me when I play the role of father or son but it is not how I became aware of it. Your pointing me to the Essence mirrors helped.
