Huh, thought about the #videogame #censorship situation.

Wouldn't it be an option to rework one of the blog frontends to be suitable for games so that games could just... have their own page in ActivityPub with links to whatever payment and store options?

That could be done either as a client or server implementaiton.

Sure it's not as good as a proper #p2p option but it also would require much less from-scratch work.

The government needs to stop listening to ESRB & PEGI this is all happening because they want pc distribution to have the same restrictions they apply to console distribution. Because on console they have more authority to force developers to change aspects or else prevent & remove them from the console stores.

Ever since California court ruled in favor of Bungie they want to apply all the same licensing distribution bullshit & have more control over what can & can't be on pc games. Because on pc they cannot control distribution. So how do they control distribution if they can't i'll explain.

First they encourage centralization of distribution steam store, itch & etc. They discourage what use to be done what did developers use to do? Sell their own video game & keep track of their sales right from their own website. So they want control over the sales, then they entice the developers all these bs offers & benefits. One of my friends who put 1 video game in the steam store when he was working on it because it was a complete overhaul mod at the time of Half Life 1, 2, & it's episode games. They encouraged him to continue development by bumping up his steam account giving him developer perks, free advertisement on steam ads, & they sent him a completely free developer's version of the steam deck which comes with a complete developer's kit, more ram & more hard drive space then the top of the line one you could buy from their store.

I'm not bullshitting I get pissed when he whips it out because I know you can't buy one with that much ram & hdd space. So they encourage you to sell through them so they control the platform, distribution of it, & apply the terms to it if you want it to stay. ESRB & PEGI are sub-entites of the parent company IFCC (the international foreign control for children) this is the international government agencies company that controls distribution of video game products around the world. They use PEGI & ESRB to enforce their policies on countries ESRB dictates US, Canada, Mexico, South America basically the western hemisphere & PEGI controls europe, the netherlands, asia, japan, china basically the eastern hemisphere.

The whole thing is a domino effect ifcc> esrb & pegi>payment processors>sony, steam, xbox, itch, & etc this is the structure of command follow the chain to the top.
