@jb55 Hey, thanks for all the cool stuff you build, all your time and effort. Can you tell me why this is the typical landing page for Notes, and Notes and Replies? I have to go to Universal timeline to see the Nostr feed of old. I have 11 relays, and wouldn’t know which ones to disconnect in order to improve the timeline loading properly. Appreciate your help!

That view should load notes automatically on startup.

How fast is your internet?

Not very. 5G but we are in a swamp, which is great for beekeeping, not so much for internet. We just got AT&T fiber optic cable made available on our stretch of the road, but we are getting internet from Mediacom/X-stream.

Try staying on that screen for some time. My guess is that notes should load. Low data/cellular mode is in the backlog. Not sure when dev team will explore it 🙏

Thanks for the tip. I left it on the “blank screen” and made dinner. When I got back to nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 it was all good again.

Give this setting a try as an experiment to test load speed:

It should load instantly, something else is wrong

It used to, for months.

This is a really helpful setting. A way to white list people so their media always loads would be useful. But overall this seems great for limiting data usage.

It’s probably because of the one relay that wasn’t connected.

I started having these issues & just got rid of relays that don’t work instantly.

So, beg pardon for idjut quex, but how you determine which relay isn’t connecting immediately? Just go to profile page and check as soon as you notice a timeline issue?

One of the relays isn’t working.

You can check the list of relays & it should show you which one is the issue.

This is what I awaken to this morning Tuesday, February 27, on Damus. All my relays are online except Galaxy 13, so I disconnected from it.
