So being overbearing Nazis obviously kills a social experience, but my question is, can we have too much freedom? Are we on Nostr going to collective OD on the amount of freedom we have here?

No, the difference is that we can always unfollow, filter, block, and limit our global views to "our network" plus +1 or +2 levels outside of our network.
