Always blew my mind how many families can't seem to do math.
In fairness, these costs have ballooned like everything else. There were times where it likely made fiscal, if not familial, sense.
Sure, I'm saying in many cases the math doesn't make sense. It has been this way for most of my adult life. I have known couples where when you subtract the cost of child care from the lower of the two incomes the difference was minimal. But the message is both parents have to work. I'm just saying many people never do the math. If they did they would not say that. Not making a moral judgement here, other than laziness and dishonesty with ones self.
That is more than fair.
The only reason I don’t think Covid was a masterful plan… they let everyone of people test drive homeschooling and a lot of people liked it a lot
