I found the first thing I ever posted about #bitcoin on Twitter, and it wasn’t exactly positive. Then I realized that the price had gone up 10x between that date and when I actually bought any.
This was cost of my ignorance and inaction.

1000x for me :'(
Yeah, its pretty brutal.. Had just gone through a divorce.. 2011, ran core for 8 hrs after reading white paper. Turned it off after it didn't seem to to anything in 8hrs of running laptop hot on sister's electricity.. I could have been a serious OG....
Wow. That’s a common thing I’ve heard. People downloaded core and then gave up within a day or two.
Now I feel OG, but still live in an unlined building :(
You must have heard about it very early.
Mid 2011.. From a coder mate.. Who sad to say, did not stock with it either.. He cashed up trading a bit. But as of last year, reckons it was a good idea, but it is manipulated by whales... Eh, and for a bit I actually thought he may have been Sat. N. Himself!! Coded in C++, on windows!! Even, Alas..
*the cost 🤦🏻♂️
My first bitcoin tweet was about the creation of Namecoin. My second was better. I wish I had actually did this despite my boss saying no.
"If your company allowed it, would you accept say 5% of your paycheck in #bitcoin at the going market rate?"
2011! 🤯
