Season 2, episode 10:

— the Gorn destroy Cayuga starship where Pike’s girlfriend (pictured in attached pic) is a captain but she was on nearby planet at that moment

— the Gorn occupy the planet and tell U. Federation of Planets that it’s theirs

— Pike and crew fly to that planet despite order not to from star fleet command to rescue his girlfriend

— Gorn have not only acid blood but sophisticated technologies including interference field

I take it that they are the baddies in this series. In one of the next seasons it will turn out that there are some good Gorn and evil Humans as well. Making us all question our biases.
