Bitcoin miners compete to add a new block to the blockchain every ~10 minutes and are rewarded 6.25 bitcoins for doing so currently. This sums up to 900 new btc production per day (Epoch-04.)

In less than 9000 blocks, which is tentatively scheduled for 04/20/24 🍃🔥, btc production will be reduced to 450 btc per day ~ 3.125 btc per block (Epoch-05.)
