i think it's pretty common for spontaneous types to look for a dutiful types to "play against" - whether we're talking relationships, politics or workplaces.

if you just have a bunch of conscientious people doing what they're supposed to, no innovation or reform will occur.

if you just have a bunch of chaotic people who never make a concerted effort toward anything, their innovations will lack a focus and will go to waste.
