So within all of us there are two separate and distinct conscious entities (or "souls"), the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. The conscious mind is the seat of the identity and all critical thinking (logic, reason, etc). The subconscious mind is the sole director of the brains functions. The brain's functions were hard coded perfectly by mitochondrial DNA (maternal), but the brain doesn't think or initiate any of its functions. The subconscious mind is guided in its thinking by nuclear DNA (the reason why we all look and perform differently) for the body's involuntary functions and the conscious mind for the body's voluntary functions (movements like speaking or walking). The subconscious mind duplicates every thought of the conscious mind without evaluating it (otherwise voluntary movement would not occur instantly) and vice versa (eg. those illogical things we do as habits, ticks, etc.). Here's the scary part, the subconscious mind doesn't know how to think, and will never learn, because it can't and you really don't want to think anyway. I could go on, but I'll let you chew on that.
Well wait, just to add a little more... If your subconscious accepts input from another person it treats it as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. They don't know how to think, everything is in the now for them, they just do and never contemplate what they've done. The conscious mind after carrying out some of the duplicated thoughts will go "why did I do that?" That's where it needs to then act to re-program the subconscious mind in its native language because they're working to figure out ways to direct a subconscious to drop dead--and a subconscious mind can think that and it happen. Thank God the Creator knew to obfuscate that thinking so much that they'll never figure out what a subconscious mind is thinking or when its thinking it (they do everything in parallel, there's a lot happening in the body at any moment and, again, the brain doesn't think).
