Why do people who align themselves with politicians and get excited about political candidates buy bitcoin? Are they hedging their bets?

It seems to me that they have not yet admitted to themselves they actually like the status quo and don't really want things to change.
Anyone buying bitcoin helps my bitcoin. If politicians buy bitcoin and understand the value of it. If they go on a bitcoin standard, their spending will be limited and their bad ideas will fail unlike now when they just keep printing money to cover their bad ideas, harming everyone who has yet to invest in bitcoin.
There will be government no matter what, and I have a choice between someone who will harm me and threaten my livelihood and someone who will do less harm, and maybe even do some things that I can use to get more bitcoin, well then I'd vote for that, if I was allowed to vote.
Since I'm not, I'm also going for who will help free up the immigration department so they can focus on legal immigration instead of all the illegals that they're supposed to kick out, but are now told to feed and house instead.
I'm part of society whether I like it or not, so I'd go for the one who brings most life.
No politician is going to embrace the bitcoin standard. It goes against the very reason they became politicians: close access to the money supply.
